I think that colouring is taking me longer than penciling and inking combined. This just takes soooooo long.

I've got three (3) fanarts that I want you to look at please.

Datachasers I can't do it justice in just a few words. But I'll try; Beautiful and deadly female robots, Science Fiction Opera on a grad scale, Coolest array of characters ever. (War and Peace with robots)

I love the way that Piper looks in 3D. I actually get a sense of what she would look like if she were real.

Rd Ashes
Dyerin's Line is a science fiction story for a mature audience. It's characters and the violence and passions they indulge in makes for a Sci Fi story for a mature audience. CHECK IT OUT!

Ashes captures a sweetness in Piper that I am always struggling to achieve. Look at the rendering of her fact... beautiful!!

Random NPC

I just got this from Random today. She draws like I wish I could draw. This is a beautiful picture which allows me to see Piper the way I imagine her. RandomNPC is a mysterious artist who claims not to be an artist.

I'm trying to speed up production for my own selfish desire to get to the action as soon as possible. I'm probably more impatient than anyone else.

Oh! I heard back from the War Museum today. My art was considered by the committee that acquires stuff, and it's been accepted!!! They're going to get in touch with me with shipping instructions and $$$ to move it!!!

I feel your pain with the coloring, Skweeee. But we continue on, because it looks SOOOOOOOO much better, am I right?

Well, in your case, I know it looks great.

And the antici... pation is seriously building. Tension... rising... GAH!

And awesome news about the museum. I said it before, and I'll say it again. You deserve it, man.
Skweeee edit delete reply
Thanks Prof!!

Awright!!! since this is my first go at building tension, I' glad that it's being interpreted the way I'd hoped!!!

Skweeee edit delete reply
Hi Amalockh1!

Thank you very much! I'm actually happy with how Lili ended up looking on this page.
Skweeee edit delete reply
Hi Centcomm!!

I owe you an apology. I thought I had put her up right after you posted it, but when I was putting up these two others I realized I had FAILED to do so. Sorry about that. I have no excuse either, I'm just absent minded.... a lot.

Yes! I'm super excited that I am able to build up to some key moments ahead!
ChilPhil edit delete reply
Wow, you are getting some great fan art!
Congratulations on getting your art accepted by the museum.
Skweeee edit delete reply
Hey ChilPhil!

Thank you!

Isn't that fan art awesome or what!!!!
chris-tar edit delete reply
None of the links to the fan art work for me!
Just make a fan art tab!!!!
Skweeee edit delete reply
AAaaaaaaaaah!!! Chris-tar, I'm so sorry. The fan art tab is called Piper's extra things. I shoulda mentioned that. My fault.
Stever edit delete reply
WHOO HOO! Getting your work in the museum is really cool. Congrats!

Lots of great backgrounds on this page. That bottom panel is wa-Bam!
Skweeee edit delete reply
Hello Stever! Thanks man!

I'm glad you're enjoying the backgrounds. You know that I do like to do them.
chris-tar edit delete reply
Also, I would like to say that I wish I had extra sensory antennae on the top of my head like that! And a prehensile tail in which I could open cans of soda with! Heck! I wish I was green too with pointed ears! Then I could truly earn all the weird stares I get from people anyway!
Skweeee edit delete reply
Chris-tar, that would be cool. Especially the tail. It would make things like climbing trees, and cooking meals way easier in my opinion.
chris-tar edit delete reply
Museums need to be populated with the art of authentic war heroes like yourself, not civilians who try to interpret "what it's like".
Your unique perspective can educate us all.
Skweeee edit delete reply
Ah, you are too kind, Chris! Thank you.

The Canadian National War Museum is always trying to acquire art done by members of the military and dedicated artists too.

I don't mind civies doing art for the museum. They've done some beautiful work. One of my favorite displays there is the Bomber Nose Art collection they have. If you're ever in Ottawa Canada, you should visit it.
QuietClayton edit delete reply
Those panels are great all around dude.
Congrats on the War Museum arts too..that is just awesome with a bag of chips.
Skweeee edit delete reply
Thank you Clayton!!

I'm glad you like the page. And thanks for the congrats on the museum thing, too.
Seabiscuit edit delete reply
Heh, I can see why it'd take so long! Dem details!
Well worth it though, cause the colors are gorgeous!

Sneaky Lili...
Gonna have Piper go kick some ass!?;D

Wow- Congrats! I knew you'd get accepted! There's no way they couldn't have, you do such amazing work! I'm so very happy for you!:D

(Beautiful fanarts!O:
Who's the Shepard now?!;D)
Skweeee edit delete reply
Hi there, Sea!!!

Thanks, I love getting the feedback about the details I put into the panels.

Lili is a sly one. You have to wonder, what's going on in that tiny brain of hers.

Hey thank you reference the museum news!

Shepherd of Fanart!? Pffffffff! I'm not even in your league kiddo!!! (but thank you any way, friend)
Miaubol edit delete reply
The plot thickens. Donald has a plan. Lili probably too. And, oh yes, I see why you want to go to the action, I know this feeling too well.

Wow the fan art, it's amazing to see her so well depicted in so many different styles. :))

And congratulations with your comic accepted, that's really really cool. :D
Skweeee edit delete reply
Hi Mia!

Yep Donald's plans, the gangster's plans, Lili's plans, and that mysterious military organization's plans. What'll happen when they all intersect????? Stay tuned....

I love getting fan art. Whenever I get it, I am literally blushing with happiness and excitement.

Thanks. I am so fortunate.
Sleeper edit delete reply
I really want the mob guys and extraction team to show up at the same time. I do like one sided battles.

Congrats on the Museum thing Skweeeee!
Skweeee edit delete reply
Hi XibalbanSleeper!!! (in my mind you are simply Zib)

I think you're reading my set up correctly. all these things that are going on are very likely to intersect on a particular day in the Month of May.
Sleeper edit delete reply
I appreciate the layering of your story here. I see four angles on this conflict. Most writers only bother with two.

Spelledeg edit delete reply
Ooooh boy, lots of rising tension. I reallly like the close up panel of Lili, you can see she's plotting!(And I love that lighting! :D)

It looks like Lili is a secret to Piper's family, by the looks of it. Hmmm. It looks like she might try to use this as an on-site training opportunity for Piper, too.

The serene with the dire is so well done, man. And ahh, not to be that person, but you've got a typo: 'site' would be 'sight' in that case since he's talking about vision.

Great page! :) I'm looking forward to the unfurling! Anddd, congratulations on being accepted into the museum! That's awesome! :D
Skweeee edit delete reply
Hi Spell!!!!!

Thanks! I am actually quite happy with that panel. It had turned out so much better than I had first hoped.

You are correct about Lili being a secret. Piper's training, and safety are always paramount in Lili's schemes.

I don't mind my friends looking out for me and pointing out the mistakes that I make. I never see them. I don't have microsoft office on my laptop. I'm saving up to build a desktop computer this summer. It's main purpose will be to be a proper drawing tool, so it will include all the hardware and software required to do this right. Microsoft office will help me. I plan on writing all my text in that first. The squiggly lines will point out all my errors and I'll be way less likely to be as unprofessional as I am at the moment! I'm quite excited about getting my new computer!!

I'm glad you noticed the contrasting conversation with the peaceful scenes of Piper playing. It was deliberate. Your noticing is a victory for me.

Thanks very much!
zaika edit delete reply
Congrats on being accepted to the museum! Very very well deserved.

Hi Zaika!

Thank you so much!!

I wonder what's hidden underneath those things?
Seriously, in this story anything is possible.
Skweeee edit delete reply
Could be those Osprey from ealier????
Matt Knab edit delete reply

Coloring does take a bit. Definitely look around online for speed coloring tips!
I gotta say, the extra shading on this page really pays off, panels 6 and 7 especially.
Skweeee edit delete reply
Hi Matt!

Thanks. I often go to youtube for tutorials on things like colouring etc...
moizmad edit delete reply
Those guys haven't noticed those huge green bugs sneaking up on them....Spider Bots!

Hey Mo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Congrats on being accepted to the War Museum, well done and well deserved, sir!

Love, love, love the dialogue on top of the imagery of Piper playing with her dog. Very effective!
Beautiful page. As always. :-)
Skweeee edit delete reply
Hi Ash!!!

Thank you ref the War Museum.

Thanks for noticing the contrasting dialogue and imagery in those first few panels. It's such a victory when you put effort into that kind of detail and someone notices. Thank you very much, friend.
Ninabird edit delete reply
It definitely looks like Lili might be thinking of getting Piper to work on the gang situation as an exercise. Worrying...
Skweeee edit delete reply
Hello Ninabird!

Lili, is a wildcard in this whole developing situation. It's a mystery what she might be up to.
demcleod edit delete reply
Wow, that's awesome, Skweeee. Congrats, my friend. :)

Skweeee edit delete reply
Hi Doug!!

Thanks man. Getting compliments from other creators is the best.
randomNPC edit delete reply
I see... That must be one reason why your artwork is awesome. Great art should not be rushed. :)

Oh... Lili is up to something... D:

Congratulations on your comic! ( that is awesome ) :)
Skweeee edit delete reply
Hello RandomNPC! (my mysterious friend)

Thank you for the compliments, though they make me feel a little ashamed because of how good your art is. Seriously, your rendering of Piper and friends looks pro to me. Thank you again.

That Lili... what will she do? Find out in the upcoming pages.

Thank you! If you haven't seen the comic that the National War Museum is interested in, it's here Contact, Wait, Out.
Fig edit delete reply
fucking dammit, skweeee, slow down! xD i didn't even have time to comment on the last page lol. seriously, though, this page is absolutely masterful, and demonstrates just how much you understand the visual medium. there are way too many nice things here to point out in one sitting; i have a new appreciation this page every time i read it. i hope i can make a page half this involving one day lol.

also, if anyone understands your point on coloring, it's me. i got you, bro xD
Skweeee edit delete reply
Hey Fig!!!

Thanks man!! Sorry that I've accelerated my production of pages, but I can't help myself. I've already eaten up my buffer too. I'm shooting for 2 to 3 pages per week. It's my selfish desire to have you guys see what's next as soon as possible. I'm pretty sure that I don't have to explain to you the agony of waiting to reveal what you already know. I can't wait to read what you guys think when this domino chain I've been so carefully setting up finally gets tripped after the last piece is set.
Travis edit delete reply
I'm not sure I'll ever catch up with this, but it's cool. I can see some Tintin in the art there. nice.
Skweeee edit delete reply
Hi Travis!

Thanks for the comparison to Herge!!!!!! I love the ligne claire style of comic art, ever since I was a kid. This compliment means a lot to me. Thank you.

You've given me an idea ref catching up.... Stay tuned to see what I end up making!

Awesome coloring in panel 7 Mr Skwee!!
Skweeee edit delete reply
Ah thanks Cackle! I'm actually happy with how that panel ended up looking after colouring.
Miss-Kennedy edit delete reply
Yes Coloring is always a great part of the job. But Color is life. And The Piper Story has its very own palette, its own cpolor identity which I apreciate so very much.
Skweeee edit delete reply
Thank you very much Miss-Kennedy!
Songgu Kwon edit delete reply
Songgu Kwon
Nice! Congrats on the exhibition! Your latest page looks great, as usual! I've been so damn busy, I'm getting behind on many of my favorite comics here. I gotta catch up!

Thanks Songgu Kwon!
