Hey!! Better late than never?

I don't like daylight savings time changes. Why are we doing this to ourselves?

I should have another page up in a couple of days.

Oh! I made apple crisp yesterday!! Mmmmmmm.

Noo...Not Bebber! He's a sweet, innocent angel that could do no wrong...!
No but really I feel anxious for him.D:

Aww, Piper is so adorable playing the dog! What a lovely peaceful scene.:D

(I can't stand the friggin' time change either!! I'm so messed up.)
Amalockh1 edit delete reply
This lovely and peaceful scene seems to be the calm before the storm, seabiscuit ;)
Skweeee edit delete reply
Hello Amalockh1!

Yes, that's pretty much what I'm trying to do.
Skweeee edit delete reply
Hi Sea!

Unfortunately for Bebber, he's going to get what's coming to him.

Yeah, I want to through in a few more wholesome pages before... you know what.
Sleeper edit delete reply
I kinda expected the Canadian Mob to be way more polite.
Skweeee edit delete reply
Maybe they'll apologize while they're killing him??
QuietClayton edit delete reply
Love that pasture scene..all those clear skys!!
Skweeee edit delete reply
Hey Clayton!

my yearning for the end of winter is bleeding into the story.
TheD-Wrek edit delete reply
This page is so beautiful, I love it. I can't help but worry about what's to come though. @_@
Skweeee edit delete reply
Hi D!!

Thanks man. I'm glad you like it. I enjoy drawing landscape scenes.
moizmad edit delete reply
There's no tiger-sharks in Edmonton and whoever cut Donald's hair like that should be taken out and horse-whipped. Does Anybody Really Know What Time It Is?
Skweeee edit delete reply
Hello Mo!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know what time it is. It's time to get rid of daylight savings time.
Matt Knab edit delete reply
Matt Knab
You do the best backgrounds. XD
Skweeee edit delete reply
Hi Matt!

Thanks man!
Miaubol edit delete reply
Everything looks so nice and peaceful on this page...

I hate daylight savings time changes. It's worse than jet lags and on top just pointless and avoidable. D:
Skweeee edit delete reply
Hi Miaubol!

Thanks. The only thing that DLST contribute to my life, is that it gives me an extra few weeks of having the sun in my face during my morning commute.
Stever edit delete reply
Oh boy, do I love apple crisp :P

Daylight saving time always does a wonder on me, but trying to get my daughter up makes me not like the time change. However, it is nice for it to be light till 7!
Skweeee edit delete reply
Hey Stever!

The nice thing about apple crisp, is that it's super easy to make (except for peeling apples.)
Outlaw edit delete reply
Oh man... Bad call, grandpa... Bad call.
Skweeee edit delete reply
You are so right Outlaw. Doing the right thing at the expense of your loved ones, is no longer the right thing in this case.
Centcomm edit delete reply
oh.. man.. this is gonna be BAD .. with capitals and everything!! ( PS loving the art as always !! :D

PS those of us in Arizona dont do time changes nayh nayh ! :D
Skweeee edit delete reply
Hi Centcomm!!

I don't know if I'm overdoing it but I want the violence to seem extra terrible by contrasting it to this serenity.

Thank you!

That's it, I'm moving to Arizona.
Call Me Tom edit delete reply
Call Me Tom
I think this is the last pieceof pleasantness there going to see for awhile!
Skweeee edit delete reply
You got that right Tom!!!

Apple crisp? Crispy apples? *Googles*... Ooooh~ Dangit, Skweeee, now I'm jelly!

I absolutely love how pretty and peaceful this page is. You make such nice settings, Skweeee. And that little Piper running around in the field, and horsie!

Great, now I am jelly of your crispy apple thing and your page, which I'd say is a wonderful thing XD Great work as always, sir!
Skweeee edit delete reply
Ha ha ha! Hi Cici!

Ooooo, you need to try apple crisp! (with icecream).

Thanks so much. I'm glad you like this page. I worry that I'm paying too much attention to these pages, because of how much I enjoy putting details in.

moytime edit delete reply
The plot thickens! I've been totally hooked lately. Can't wait to see what happens next!

Also, seeing that pretty pasture scene makes me miss summer terribly.
Skweeee edit delete reply
Hey Moytime!!!!!!!

Oh, I'm glad you're enjoying the story. I'll do my best to try and keep it up. I enjoy your storytelling in your comics very much so that is a pretty big compliment for me.

Yep. I'm pretty much done with winter. It could quit anytime now.
Haegan2005 edit delete reply
This entire page was well done!

I have enjoyed the plot so far and the scenery is just icing on the cake!
Skweeee edit delete reply
Hello Haegan2005!!

Thank you very much! I'm happy that you're enjoying the story, and the scenery too!
demcleod edit delete reply
Excellent page, Skweeee, but Grampy is ticking off the wrong people...
Skweeee edit delete reply
Thanks Dwayne my friend!

Yep. Sometimes being stubborn is a good thing. Other times, nope.
DizzasterJuice edit delete reply
Just wait 'til Bebber finds out he's being double crossed. All hell breaks loose.
Skweeee edit delete reply
Hi Dizz!

So long as Bebber doesn't find out he's being double crossed the hard way.
Ninabird edit delete reply
I like how Piper can still be a kid with all this going on.
Skweeee edit delete reply
Hi Ninabird!!!

Me too. I really want to endear her to the reader.
Centcomm edit delete reply
Its working .. in spades ...."D
Spelledeg edit delete reply
Ooo wow, poop's gonna hit the fan really hard soon. To think the build-up is only just now(slightly) starting to unwind.

I really like how serene this page is in stark contrast to the conversation and what's transpiring off-page. I wonder how Piper's been doing with training so far, too...Hmm I think we'll see that soon. I also think Donnie's gonna bite off way more than he can chew in a bit.
Skweeee edit delete reply
Hi Spelledeg!!!! (I love your new Avatar)

Your observations, tell me that I'm telling the story in the way I want it to be read.

Thank you for noticing the contrast between Piper's activity and the conversation back at the house. It was a deliberate choice, and you've made me so happy for noticing it. Just you wait and see Donnie's 'skills'.
chris-tar edit delete reply
Skweeee edit delete reply
Hi Christ-ar!

Very tragic. My favorites from Shakespeare are the tragedies.

Macbeth and Hamlet, etc..
Huerfanos edit delete reply
Your backgrounds keep amazing me, and the story's got me all hooked up. Keep up the good work!
Skweeee edit delete reply
Hello Huerfanos!

Thanks my friend. Hearing that from such a great artist as yourself is very encouraging.
ProfEtheric edit delete reply
Wow wow... I love the way you set the scene.

Also, great work on the dramatic tension. It's pretty obvious that things are building to some nastiness...
Skweeee edit delete reply
Prof!!!! Thanks.

It makes me happy to know it's going the way I wanted it to.
snowshadow edit delete reply
Your art keeps getting better and better. I just went back and reread Piper's Song from the beginning and I'm really impressed with how you can interweave all these plot threads in a way that's so compelling.

Skweeee edit delete reply
Hi Snowshadow!!

Thanks! I'm glad you like it. Your comic caught my eye very early as I think your style choices have some similarities with my own. Particularly the linge claire style and the traditional approach to sequential panel placement. I'm a big fan of Herge and Moebius.
sephirencomics edit delete reply
This page is beautiful. I love the perspective in each panel :D
Skweeee edit delete reply
Hi Sephirencomics!!

Thank you very much. Thanks for noticing the efforts I put into perspective.
Proxy170 edit delete reply
Love the detail you put in every frame...there is no filler or anything! Like you definitely get a feel that if you just peered around the house, you'd see a complete landscape. Awesome.
Skweeee edit delete reply
Thanks Proxy!!

I have come to realize that I actually like doing these background landscapes. I'm glad that you like it!
randomNPC edit delete reply
Bebber Vs. Uncle Donnie! Now that is a must watch, if its really going to happen. (is it?)

Love the backgrounds in this page :)
Skweeee edit delete reply
Hi Random!!!

Ha ha ha, I guess I'm telegraphing what I'm up to! :D
IllustratorMan edit delete reply
Fantasy and crime rolled up into one comic? This is a treat.
Skweeee edit delete reply
Thank you Illustrator Man.
