Clanjack Farlo
Wow. You made shutting a door become menacing in the hands of one of your characters. That's when you know you've got the atmosphere of a character down pat.
Another excellent page! ;D
(note; Love the little solitaire on the computer screen!)

Hey, thanks. I'm glad that it appears the atmosphere I was trying to create is getting across.

Holy crap...!
I agree with Clanjack... I literally was like "Oh shiii---" when the door closed.
Excellently done.

Thanks Outlawkion1.

This eerily reminds me of the scene in "No Country For Old Men" where Chigurh's looking for Moss.

Your mastery of camera angles always seem very strong.

Thank you. Anton is definitely one of my inspirations for Bebber.

Yeah, it's getting cold in there ;D
Skweeee edit delete reply
What I failed to do was draw the fog of cold air gliding across the floor as he holds the door open.

Excellent page. I wouldn't want to mess with that guy. :-D
Skweeee edit delete reply
Thanks Demcleod! I am definitely trying to cartoon him that way.

That shot of his boots was what unsettled me the most they had the sense of pure evil walking through them
Skweeee edit delete reply
Yeah. I'm really trying to depend less on narration, and depend on visual suggestions to get ideas and emotions communicated to the reader.

Wow...I agree...that door slam has impact. I'm nervous for that woman..eek
Great page :)
Skweeee edit delete reply
Thank you, Twistedfro! I do love the power that radiates from your art, so to get a compliment from you means a lot to me. Also, it encourages me to work harder too.

I always look forward to reading your pages as the art, direction, and colouring are always so enjoyable to look at. I love how the soft colouring makes the scene look so calm and peaceful while at the same time the script is becoming increasingly menacing. I'm not sure if that was intended or not but it seems more unsettling than the usual dark shadow standing in the doorway etc which has perhaps become a bit cliched now.

PS: I love how the secretary is playing the card game on her computer instead of working!lol That was a nice detail to add.

Thank you Skyangel. You are so generous. I usually try to avoid iconic cliche's. However that will not preclude me from relying on one if I am determined to achieve a specific effect in the narrative.
sephirencomics edit delete reply
Yeah, the door slam really had an effect.
Skweeee edit delete reply
Thanks Sephirencomics. It's good to know that I'm creating the effect that I wanted.
Deducer1 edit delete reply
Love the way you frame up the shots!
Skweeee edit delete reply
Thankyou Deducer1! It's funny how you end up seeing the story play out in your mind and then compare to how it looks when you're done.

nice work.
Good pov and cut scenes.
Skweeee edit delete reply
Shinka, thanks. I'm glad you liked it.

And with the last panel the audience simultaneously think . . . "no" . . . Very scary sir
Skweeee edit delete reply
Yeah, I've been taking much guilty pleasure out of creating this character and his interactions. I'm sure it's coming from somewhere in the Id.
