Nice. I like the "knowing" look exchanged between the grandparents.

I can tell that this story will be something special but the art continues to amaze me with each new page!

Thanks IllustratorMan. This being my first attempt at cartooning; that is a great compliment.^_^

Looks great! The snowy drive reminds me of childhood..

Thanks Deducer1. Can't have this take place in Albert without snow. Also the late arriving sun in the morning too.

Somebody said it earlier.....that knowing look of dread is subtle yet so doom - inducing and if there was a soundtrack to pipers song it would be the music in the opening of the movie "fargo"

Skweeee
Thanks. Fargo has a beautiful opening piece. Nice pick. Goes with the wintery feel, and would work well with where Piper's story is heading.

You have established an air of mystery, urgency, and endeared the characters to me already. In addition, the art is spectacular!
Great job. Keep it up!

I like the look in panel 2. The grandparents definitely know something.

Oh they do know something. But what?

Skyangel recommended, so I came looking - hmmm, nice start. "everyone has strange dreams" -hah! ain't that the truth - every night for me (probably all my medication).

Skweeee
I hear you. For me it's trying to stay asleep to even have dreams. I hope you're enjoying Piper's Song.

Well, you have my attention! I dig your paneling and the sort of classic-comic vibe this has about it. Your protagonist, Piper is engaging so far and I can't wait to see how this develops. :)

Skweeee
Ah! Hi Spelledeg! Thank you very much. I'm glad that you like her. She's based off of a childhood friend who has always been very important to me.

Good grief! Not the Neo-Red Plague???

It was an element in the story that I'm no longer going to pursue. Too close to this ebola quackery going on right now.

I can only hope I can learn to convey subtle expressions like that some day

I try to get the combo of words just right so that I can say something without having to say it. Thank you very much. It makes me happy that that was a success.

I love the pace and the staging.
